I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! Do they fit as expected?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me.

How comfy are they?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they help with airflow. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also be smart.

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size

Do they hold up well?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
